I was so excited when I received this area rug. It arrived promptly from Amazon and I loved the design. I put the area rug in my living room on a hard wood floor. I noticed that there was some lint on the rug, so I vacuumed it before use. Several days later I started to notice light blue lint and carpet fiber all over my hard wood floors. When I examined the rug closely, I could tell the problem was more serious. If I rubbed the rug with my fingers or foot, the carpet fiber quickly pulled away from the rug. I vacuumed the rug again to see if this would fix the problem. (My vacuum almost clogged up from the amount of lint that came up.) Within a day light blue lint began to cover my hard wood floors again. (I have two small dogs, and they don't shed this much!) I immediately contacted Amazon and am now in the process of returning the rug. As much as I love the design, the rug appears to be defective. I'm not sure if I just got a bad rug, or if this is simply how the rug is made. Either way, I wouldn't recommend buying this.

This item came to me well packaged, and secure. After unpacking, I found that the rug had a huge tear in it. I'm not sure if it is the actual company that damaged this or the shipper. Unfortunately, my overall satisfaction with Amazon as a whole has gone exceptionally downhill, as I have been an avid shopper on here for years. Purchase this, and all items with caution on Amazon.

Just bought the big version of this rug from Amazon after researching prices at many other places. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the rug pretty much matched the photo, as we did not get to see the rug in any store and rolled the dice buying it sight unseen. If you see this rug on other sites with the same product ID number and it doesn't look like this photo, beware. There are a few sites out there that claim to be selling this exact rug and though the pattern is the same, the coloration is much different. The Amazon photo is the most accurate of the ones I've seen. Definitely invest in a good rug pad if you are going to buy this rug. We purchased a 9' x 12' Premium Movenot Rug Pad from Amazon, and though slightly smaller than the Safavieh rug, it's still a good fit and adds a nice cushion. It will also protect your floor. As is expected with new rugs, it generates a lot of fuzz if trafficked a lot the first few weeks. Expect some extra vacuuming during that time. But so far we love it and everyone who has seen it loves it too.

I was amazed at how accurate the colors were when the rug arrived - so often when you buy a rug online, the colors are way different when you see it in person. This rug is heavy and thick and beautiful! And when it turned out that a round rug was the wrong shape for our entrance hall, I called the company to return it, and representative was extremely nice and helpful, and went out of his way to "make sure the customer is happy," as he said, and he is now sending me the same rug in a different shape that I know will be perfect.He didn't have to be so nice and accommodating--since nothing was wrong with the rug and it was my own error in judgment on what would be the right shape for the space--so I was very impressed. Oh, and did I mention that it shipped super-quickly?I give both the rug AND the company five stars!

I ordered this rug thinking it was blue. However it's not a true blue but more of a muted blue green,(almost like a seafoam/seaglass) color. Though I thought it was blue I am really happy because the color of my bedding is seafoam green, so it works perfectly. The other colors are true like in the picture. Browns, taupe, a deep rust color and beiges. The wool is comfortable to sit or walk on and so far it's doesn't shed.

After getting new electronics and furniture this winter, we moved our old stuff downstairs to make a second living room area. Unfortunately the basement floor is painted concrete & we had little budget for carpet. Originally we were going to get a smaller area rug for in front of the couch, but then I came across this baby.$45 for a 10x13 rug is a steal! It covers the whole floor in our new lower living room, making it virtual wall to wall carpet. The best part is that it has high quality construction and effectively keeps the floor warm enough to walk without slippers.Sure the pattern is a little flowery, but at this price it is perfect for our needs. We'll probably pick up another for my wife's basement scrap book room.

We love the size, color, and look of this rug. It is more bumpy than soft to lay on or walk on though. The one thing that did bother us is that there is a bump all the way across the middle where it looks as if the rug was made in two halves and then was attached together later. It is not a huge deal however because our sofa and coffee table cover most of it and now you can't really tell unless you are looking for it.

Beautiful shag rug that really brightens our living room. We have it on a rug pad (required). Our puppy loves to sit on it andso far so good. No loose pieces and nice texture and color that would probably hide dirt and stains well.

Beautiful rug - somewhat muted in the design which makes it all the more attractive for any number of looks - contemporary, traditional, shabby chic: I could not be more pleased - just the right size and a substantial pile. Finally got the rug I wanted .

This rug is so pretty and thick and plush,I was hesitant to buy because no one talked about the thickness, I took a chance and am very pleased.
